I searched for pictures of mine but couldn't find any. I was out back a few years ago, using the green chopper to knock down the tall grass/weeds using my 45 GM, well unknowingly I found a soft spot (didn't think it was that wet) but in about 1 1/2 revolution of the rear tires down to the rear end housing it went. After a few choice words and a some scratching my head while the tractor was idling, it seemed to be getting deeper with every put. After digging down to unhook the green chopper (literally with a shovel) got that unhooked and dragged the chopper out of the way with my A. So now I could try using the A from the front, from the back, nothing. By now it's almost down to the axles. Only one other thing I could think of I heard of old timers doing but it was dangerous. *Repair Tools: Mini Drill Press
I'd have to somehow attach a post across the tread of the tractor tire with a chain. So with a little help from my son (heavy weight wrestler in HS) off come the wheel weights so I could put the chain through the hub & attach the post. It was so deep we had to dig down one side just to unbolt the weight from the hub & the weight didn't have to fall far, lol. After that was all set, I attached a couple chains in front and hooked the A on to help from flipping the G over backwards when it would climb out. Told my boy when we start going to make sure he keeps the chain tight to keep the front down and you know it walked right out on its own power. I think there is still mud stuck up between the rear end & trans housings. Wish I had pictures of it, but if you can picture it in your head it'll make that story even better. Throw some pictures up when you got stuck and your story, most of us growing up got stuck more than once. Don't grab pictures off the internet just something you did or your story. Have a great hump day!
